Introduction
As part of its mission to enhance social integration, preserve cultural heritage, and empower youth for active community participation, the Eastern Sudan Communities Association (ESCA) in Manchester organized the Third Grand Youth Iftar on March 17, 2025, at its headquarters.
The event followed the success of the Family and Children Iftar held on March 8 of the same year, forming a series of social programs aimed at strengthening the spirit of communication and unity among the community members and friendly communities in an environment characterized by cultural diversity and mutual understanding.
Objectives
The event aimed to achieve a set of strategic objectives, most notably:
Enhancing social cohesion among the Sudanese, African, and Arab communities in the UK.
Empowering youth and promoting their role in community and leadership work.
Consolidating the cultural identity of the Eastern Sudan community and preserving its legacy within the multicultural society.
Building positive partnerships with local community organizations and authorities to expand future areas of cooperation.


Participants
Attendance reached 185 participants, including members and volunteers from ESCA and guests from local organizations and community leaders. The list of attendees included several distinguished figures, most notably:

Mr. Aiman Mahmoud is a member of the ESCA Executive Committee.
All speakers expressed their admiration for the outstanding organization and large attendance, praising the association's role in promoting cooperation among local communities. In his speech, Mr. Aiman Mahmoud affirmed that this event embodies the association's core values of teamwork, volunteering, and community service. He added that the association aims to organize the event at a larger venue next year to accommodate the increasing turnout. He specifically thanked the mothers and sisters in the association for their volunteer efforts in preparing the food and drinks, which added authentic Sudanese and Eastern flavors to the occasion.

The association's members and specialized committees executed the event with pure volunteer efforts, relying on self-resources and symbolic donations from members. The association adhered to the highest standards of organization, safety, and financial transparency, reflecting its ability to implement impactful and qualitative community events that left a lasting positive impression on the local community.
