Introduction
In the framework of community cooperation, the Sudanese community in Greater Manchester, in collaboration with the Eastern Sudan Communities Association (ESCA), organized an awareness seminar titled "Safe Internet Use and the Child Protection System in the UK" on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the association's headquarters in Manchester.
Seminar Objectives
The seminar aimed to raise the level of familial and community awareness about child protection in light of the accelerating digital and technical development. Furthermore, it served to introduce attendees to the safeguarding system in the United Kingdom, highlight the British education system (educational ladder), and explore ways to encourage children to achieve academic excellence and engage in scientific fields.

The seminar featured presentations from:
Ms. Rania Abdullah: General Supervisor of the Sudanese School in Manchester.
Mr. Ihab Gloob: Secretary-General of the Sudanese Community in Manchester.
Mr. Abdulhadi Ahmad, Trustee of the Eastern Sudan Community Association, also addressed the seminar. He welcomed the attendees and praised the continuous cooperation between the association and the Sudanese community in implementing initiatives that serve the community and support family awareness. He confirmed that such activities represent a practical embodiment of the association's goals in empowering families, enhancing social integration, and spreading cultural and educational awareness within the Sudanese community abroad.
Conclusion
This seminar is part of the joint efforts of the Association and the Community to build an aware society capable of dealing safely and responsibly with modern technology and contributing to the upbringing of a balanced generation that preserves its values and cultural identity while positively integrating into British society.
