CV Writing Workshop (October 28, 2024)
The Eastern Sudan Communities Association (ESCA) conducted a CV writing workshop on October 28, 2024, for its Manchester-based members, in accordance with its strategic mission to foster professional development and empower its members.
The workshop offered participants practical advice on how to create effective résumés (CVs), enhance their employment prospects, and prepare for career advancement. This initiative is in direct alignment with the association's objectives of fostering self-reliance among members and volunteers, community empowerment, and capacity development.
Mr. Ali Egail, a member of the Awareness and Training Committee, elucidated that this training is a component of the association's responsibility to assist and empower its members and volunteers to realize the association's objectives and translate its community vision into practical action. It is important to observe that the committee is currently operating an electronic form (online form) that is specifically designed to provide support to current association members and volunteers. This form will be made available to the public as a public service upon the conclusion of certain essential organizational procedures.
Measurable Success: The effectiveness of the training program has been demonstrated by the fact that a substantial number of members have successfully secured employment opportunities as a result of receiving assistance in preparing their CVs and completing the applicable job application forms.
Media Training: Photography, News, and Reporting (June 13, 2024
The Eastern Sudan Community Association conducted a specialized media training workshop on June 13, 2024, that addressed the fundamentals of official reporting, news writing, and photography.
The program provided participants with the opportunity to develop critical media skills, such as the ability to compose images, compile news, and compose formal reports in a professional manner. In addition to the technical aspects, the workshop provided a platform for the development of leadership and professional skills, as well as the cultivation of self-confidence, thereby motivating participants to investigate potential future opportunities in the media and communication sectors.
This activity directly assists the association in achieving its objectives of enhancing communication within the community and between cultures, educating young individuals on how to become leaders, and elevating the level of communication within the community.
