Social inclusion

Social inclusion.

ESCA community members, particularly new arrivals may feel isolated. By leveraging the experiences of long-term residents, these groups will help new members integrate more effectively into the wider society, thereby fostering a sense of belonging.

It is vitally important to us that we improve access to services for members of the Eastern Sudan community. We aim to engage with service providers so that our members can utilise educational, work, and social services available to them

Educational programs focused on teaching the Beja language, history, and heritage will be implemented to bridge generational gaps and preserve cultural identity. These programs empower the youth and their families by fostering a strong sense of identity and demonstrating that it is possible to be proud of their heritage while also being integrated members of British society.

creating partnerships and collaborations

We aim to partner with cultural groups to promote cross-cultural exchange, mutual understanding, and documentation of diverse cultural heritages, fostering an inclusive environment that respects cultural diversity.

Through these initiatives, we aim to improve social welfare and integration for the Eastern Sudan community in England, thereby enhancing their quality of life.

By building local network groups, we facilitate social interaction and support, enabling community members to integrate more effectively with the wider society. This fosters a sense of belonging and uses the experiences of long-term UK residents to help new arrivals feel more at home.

ESCA Cultural inclusive environment

Our plan is to coordinate with local service providers to tailor the specific needs of the Eastern Sudan community and enhance access to essential services.

Educational programs on Beja language, history, and heritage empower the youth and promote an inclusive self-perception. These programs show that one can be a proud British citizen while maintaining cultural heritage. Educating the public about Beja culture will foster understanding, respect, and a more inclusive environment.

Partnerships with various cultural groups promote mutual understanding, breaking down cultural barriers and encouraging inclusive interactions.

These activities collectively create an inclusive environment, enhance access to services, and foster mutual understanding, directly contributing to the social inclusion of the Eastern Sudan community in England.
